my Bio

My name is Deidre Lin and here is where you get to know me a bit better if you wish. Bio pages are interesting to write because one never really knows what to say, me included!

Writing

I've been writing for many years. My initial writing/art award came when I was in grade school for an illustrated short story - a first place finish at that! My writing transitioned over the years from being a hobby then journaling and finally in 1999 my first publication was released. 'Our Journey Within - The Bridge'.

Art

Though never formally trained, I have ventured into different aspects of art including traditional mediums as well as digital art. Some of my digital creations are available in the galleries for viewing under my artist name of 'imagebuilder'.

Photography

I came to photography early in life and recall that my first camera was a Brownie. Many times I did not have enough spare change to buy film or process the exposures but I took the camera everywhere anyway! Looking through the viewfinder has always - and still is - magical for me! I find that one sees things differently from this perspective. I have been blessed with the opportunity to take photos of some of the most beautiful places on earth!
